Implementation of new document imaging and electronic forms application for HIM and Admitting/Registration for 330 bed acute care hospital.

Role: Project Lead

Major Contributions:

• Developed project plan for phased implementation
• Completed workflow analysis and diagrams for all key functions of Health Information Management (HIM) department such as chart analysis, coding, and key clinical areas such as medication orders.
• Drafted initial plans for scanning center and scanning workflow; conducted hardware review and assessments to ensure required systems were in place for project launch
• Drafted ADT (McKesson) and clinical system (Cerner) business requirements for HL7 interfaces and diagrams depicting dataflow.
